I guess the only difference between the pattern and the one I made was that I ribbed the bottom instead of leaving it stockinette so that it would curl up. Looks like the top of an eggplant!

Berry Baby
Making some more baby things, because they're fast and easy, and I actually have somebody to give them to, I made this Berry Baby Hat.

It's been a long time since I knit a scarf!
Well, I finally have this nice looking blanket scarf to help pretty up my collection of scarves that I've made! It was a bit tedious to knit towards the end, but the beginning to middle bit felt pretty fun to knit. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Spirited Away
I've admired this aphid777's work for a long time since even before I began to crochet. In fact, her pattern that she created of Spirited Away's Haku is one of the biggest reasons that I wanted to begin learning how to crochet and how to make dolls through crocheting. Spirited Away is one of my all time favourite movies because of the amazing characters and artwork and overall story. Basically, I loved everything about that film. Well.. I finally felt my skills were good enough to attempt Haku! And it was hard.My first problem arose when inserting the wiring needed for Haku's body. After crocheting up to a certain point, I realized that the craft art wire that I bought was not strong enough to keep Haku's body in shape even when reinforced by 5 times. So ... thankfully after reading some other people's comments on Ravelry, I used the idea of using a wire clothes hanger.
The final result is amazing!! Attaching Haku's hair took the longest time (not including the body). Also, making his whiskers sort of flow behind him rather than droop down was a little difficult, but I made it work by sewing wrapping some more wire around the base and also sewing the yarn around the base to hold it up. His eyes are the same as how I made Charizard's eyes.. with some leftover white cloth. But instead of painting its eyes, I just used good ol' felt. I don't know why I didn't think of that the first time... it's much easier than painting the eyes on.
I love it. I love it. I love it. :)
See the difference between the thickness of the wires needed? |
Random WIP of Haku. At this point, it looks like a giant sperm or some sort of tampon. |
I love it. I love it. I love it. :)

Who's that Pokemon?! ... It's... CHARIZARD!
So, I think I made the coolest Pokemon to date so far. I used this pattern because I liked how detailed the Charizard looked. Like if it jumped out of the computer in crochet form, that is exactly how it would look like.
Looks sorta like an orange Lochness monster at this stage with the tail and head attached to the body. |
Added the horns! Looks a bit like a bowling pin actually. |
I added the eyes now. The eyes, I had some scrap cloth, and I used some acrylic paint for the pupils. |
Here's the underbelly... That mess up when I sewed it onto the body is so obvious. I suck at putting pieces together :( |
His legs! I had so much trouble with the toes, that's why they're so stubby. Working round with only 3 stitches is so hard. |
At this point, looks a bit like Charmeleon (since he has no wings yet), but with two horns. |
And here's the final product!! I think he looks pretty amazing. It was my first time working with wires which were in his wings, arms, neck and tail. Gave him a bit of a photoshoot. |
Here's the back. |

A Little Obsessed with Capes
So, the reason I made the previous cape was because I actually had wanted to make this one. But unfortunately I've never worked with a crochet diagram before and since it was written in Japanese, I had no idea how to start. Anyways, I had asked r/knitting for help, and somebody eventually actually responded! So, after finishing up that last cape, I decided to not have their help wasted and make another cape. I must say, it is adorable! I didn't do really well with the chord and pom-poms but the cape itself was something I'm pretty proud of. I think this might be the last thing for the baby, unless anything else compelling comes up!

Heroes wear capes :)
Moooore baby things! I found such a cute poncho pattern that I really wanted to try out! I don't think I've ever crocheted something like this before because the pattern gave me a little more trouble than any other crocheted pattern has (I think because I had to search up some term like sk sp, and ch-3 sp), but I got the hang of it quickly. It's made for 3-6 months old, so that's why it looks a little big on my creepy baby.
If she wears this in the winter though, I think she'd look like a snow princess :D
I thought it was a unique gift too because how often do people give baby ponchos as gifts?!I want to crochet more ponchos :D

Minnie Mouse
I am in a baby accessories making frenzy! Really hoping that it all fits my friend's baby though or that she'd like it! I thought I'd continue with the photogenic type of baby clothes. So .. I decided to make this Minnie Mouse set. (Also, I'm addicted to crocheting right now! ... I guess because I used to think I really sucked at it, and now I realize that I'm doing a pretty good job!)
Anyways, here's the Minnie Mouse shoes!
Next, I had to make the dress! Underneath is a diaper cover that I had to crochet first.
With the dress, it looks a bit like a mushroom that you'd see from Super Mario heh.
Back of the dress/diaper cover |
In case anybody is wondering how it looks like opened. Looks like ovaries. |
Front side with the diaper cover open. |
How it looks like on a baby. |
The Minnie Mouse hat! Needed to sorta fluff it out to make it look good. |
With it all together it looks really good! |
.. And on a 'baby'! |
I think it looks adorable! But I'm always worried that it won't look good or won't fit on an actual baby. Maybe that's why I'm making so much things because I'm hoping one of them will work out haha.

My friend is having a baby girl!
So.. I began the process of making her a bunch of things! She said she wanted things that would look good in photos, so I decided to make her a cocoon and a flower headband.
P.s. I thought I lost this baby, and I was sad at first because this creepy little thing was $25, and I didn't want to spend another $25 to buy another creepy ass baby. Thank God I found it ... nobody knows how it got there.. but she was found hidden in a plastic bag in the corner of my old room. Hmmm....

The headband part I just chained to 12" and then did another row of *HDC, HDC CH1, skip*
Here's a pic of the set together! Looks pretty photogenic to me!
